Dr. Matheo Smith

Dr. Matheo James Smith, a dynamic force hailing from Freeport Grand Bahama, embodies the spirit of innovation and leadership in education, and community empowerment. 

As a proud alumnus of Emmanuel University, he has seamlessly blended his expertise in education and Christian psychology to inspire countless students throughout his career. Rising through the ranks from primary and high school teacher, to principal and currently as the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at Cyber Tech Career College; Dr. Smith's commitment to student success is unparalleled, with nearly 200 students securing scholarships under his guidance.

Beyond academia, Dr. Smith serves as the senior pastor of New Bethany Baptist Church, where he imparts wisdom and fosters community spirit. 

A prolific writer, he has authored the compelling book "Her Issues, His Struggles," with a second project underway, further showcasing his dedication to addressing contemporary challenges.

Dr. Smith's innovative spirit shines through his establishment of an aeronautical program in high schools and the successful negotiation of two memoranda of understanding with educational institutions. He is a devoted family man, married to Mrs. Davantee Smith, and together they nurture a vibrant family of four—Matheo Jr., Makayla, Maté, and Makai. 

With an unwavering ambition to leave an indelible mark on the world, Dr. Smith is not just an educator; he is a visionary shaping the future.
